

It's that time of year again. No, I don't mean
Fall (though the maple above is lighting up one of the houses in our block), and I don't mean
Spring (though right now the Chrysler Building's probably surrounded by something like the cherry nimbus at left, snapped two years ago this week). I mean
Tax time, the time of the greenback. Let me tell you: there's nothing like trying to file as a New York Nonresident to make you think you never left, that you couldn't leave if you tried, and that you might as well admit you're still a New Yorker even though you run to the ends of the earth!
