

Venturing to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden this afternoon - it's been a while, and will be at least ten days until I see it again - I wasn't expecting much and, at first, didn't find more than promises of Spring.

But then I rounded a corner and - despite remnants of snow - there were flowers were everywhere, from purple and white crocuses to witch hazel in yellow and orange, snowdrops, buttercups, even pussy willows!
