After feasting Babette-like on trees yesterday I can't not share this picture of a string quartet performing for a theater full of potted plants! It's the Liceu Opera in Barcelona on its first day open since the pandemic struck, and the plants - one in each of its 2,292 seats - were later given to health care professionals. You can listen to Puccini's "Crisantemi" with them in a somewhat creepy
video that begins with the obligatory injunction to silence their cellphones and ends with applause.
