Suspended

This view of Manhattan slung across the George Washington Bridge, taken from the Palisades Parkway this afternoon, has nothing to do with The New School and its travails. But as we await agreement on the contract for part-time faculty (I spoke too soon), things do feel similarly suspended. May the precarity prove just an optical illusion.
