Shimmying along the Appalachians we've made our way to a cosy forest cottage south of Asheville, NC for three weeks of spring leaf peeping. Traversing seven states it's over 700 miles, almost as far to
our southwest as Acadia was to our northeast last summer. Besides finding spring barreling along with us, we noticed dazzling redbuds lining the roads just as the sparkle of maple flowers was petering out.
