Meanwhile, back in Melbourne, The Age still thinks it can sell papers by noting that, while Sydney's prettier, Melbourne is "considerably smarter." Its less balmy climate leads to greater reflectiveness, as do the climates of New York and London. Only some of this reflectivenss, I trust, is about those airhead Sydneysiders who don't even realize there's a race on! But I include this just because the attendant drawing is so apt, at least for Age readers! (Ms. Sydney would be right at home with Kath & Kim.)

Meanwhile, back in Melbourne, The Age still thinks it can sell papers by noting that, while Sydney's prettier, Melbourne is "considerably smarter."
