So I might have wound up at the oldest religious studies program in China! At least, I'm told, some people claim so, referring to something Chairman Mao apparently told someone at Fudan in 1966 about Buddhism and Christianity being worth understanding - presumably for critique! That might not be the charmed pedigree it once was (if it's even true)... One of these days I'm going to Fudan's history museum - here's hoping the captions aren't only in Chinese!
