I'm slowly figuring out where to buy stuff and how to cook it. (No, I haven't yet haggled for produce at a market, but am buying supposedly organic stuff at the local mega-supermarket.) It was a good thing I brought calcium supplements - dairy products are few and far between
- but I'm still working out how to get my daily protein without meat: peanuts and peanut butter are bearing most of the load right now. Living vegetarian in China is not so easy but I'm getting there. Maybe in a while I'll know enough to invite some folks over for Sunday dinner!
