A somewhat different and somewhat longer route than initially planned, but it was fun to go past old fave Datong and great mountains and loess plains around it, and downright exciting to pass under the Great Wall as 
the road descends through the mountains to Beijing from the north. Not so fun the traffic at the Henan/Beijing border and on Beijing's Sixth Ring Road. But we made it to our airport hotel, ready to fly home tomorrow.
