Somehow this blog has arrived at its fifty-five hundredth post. That's slightly more than the number of days since I started it - 5,343 - in September 2006... and an absurdly large number! I have to admit that I wouldn't know what's in all those posts without looking for myself.

Indeed, going back I sometimes stumble on things I don't remember at all! Or should I say: wouldn't otherwise remember. Almost 15 years of interesting experiences, large and small, is also almost 15 years of getting older, with memory getting gappier. Guess I'll keep writing!
