In church today the choir sang an anthem of Henry Purcell's which I have always loved and always wanted to sing. Wonderful! The occasion, which also elicited "In Paradiso" from Fauré's Requieum and Parratt's setting of the Russian Contakion for the Departed, was a memorial service for Father Rand Frew, Rector in the 1980s and founder of the Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen.
