This pair of galahs took refuge from sun and wind high in a gum tree on the Broken River, visible in the distance from my sister's place - a few hundred meters away. Thank modern technology (my ultrazoom Panasonic Lumix) for making them seem so close they might be looking at us - and blogger for making me seem so close I might be looking at you!
