The drought's come to Melbourne: all the city's fountains have been shut off! That includes the rather grandly silly one in front of the Royal Exhibition Building. Here's the scene just a few weeks ago as a platoon of platypi kept malevolent mini-crocs from entering a pool in which little boys representing commerce, industry, science and the arts were at play.
