I went to the nearby Xinhua Bookstore today to look for simple English-Chinese texts I might use, and English versions of Chinese texts I might read. Didn't find much I could use. Most of the translations of Chinese texts in foreign languages weren't in English! And if I was unsurprised to learn of German, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic versions of classics (the classical Chinese translation was odd), I wasn't prepared for an Yijing in a language I didn't recognize that turns out to be Malay.
